Colao's Ristorante

“Colao” is the surname of founder Saverio “Cee” Colao, an immigrant from southern Italy who moved to America in 1969. Thirty years later in 1999, he and his wife Ellen opened Colao’s Ristorante to share his wealth of traditional recipes with the city he had grown to love. Described by locals as a “culinary gem” with a “warm & elegant atmosphere,” Colao’s Ristorante serves time-tested dishes like chicken marsala, veal Milanese, four cheese ravioli, and spaghetti with homemade meatballs. Signature entrees include salmon picatta, bone-in ribeye, braised beef short ribs, and of course, a specialty lasagna. Cee Colao still operates the restaurant today and can be found supervising in the kitchen or making small talk with guests. The family legacy endures at Colao’s Ristorante.

Bro Man's Birria N' Burger Joint

One thing’s for sure— you’ve never had a dining experience quite like the one at Bro Man’s Birria N’ Burger Joint. Owner and operator Stephen Stanbro has drawn inspiration from around the world to create a menu that’s truly one-of-a-kind, featuring signature hamburgers and birria tacos. “Birria” is a style of braised beef from Jalisco, Mexico and one of the centerpieces of the Bro Man’s menu. Stuffed inside a tortilla with onions, cilantro, and mozzarella, and served with a side of rich broth for dipping, the birria tacos pack a serious punch of international flavor. The burgers are also innovative. Take the Sooner Burger for example, a hand-smashed brisket short rib patty that’s loaded with onions and topped with cheese and red pepper aioli. Located just a short distance from Tanglewood Apartments, Bro Man’s Birria N’ Burger Joint serves up bold, mouthwatering dishes that locals can’t get enough of.
